Fin 2008, le SPP Intégration Sociale a donné pour mission au centre OASeS (Université d'Anvers) et au Panel Démographie (Université de Liège) de mener une enquête portant sur l'aide des CPAS apportée aux personnes sans-abri et sans domicile. Cette enquête a trois objectifs. Le premier objectif est de comprendre la manière dont est organisée et coordonnée l'aide des CPAS aux personnes sans-abri. Les auteurs examinent par exemple les instruments utilisés et les hébergements présents au sein des communes belges. Deuxièmement, les auteurs examinent quels sont les points sensibles rencontrés par les CPAS dans leur aide aux personnes sans-abri. Enfin, le dernier objectif est de déceler les pratiques pouvant servir d'exemple aux autres CPAS, de sorte que chaque CPAS puisse appréhender une aide optimale aux personnes sans-abri.[-]

Over the past decade, EU and national policy-makers alike have paid more attention to childhood poverty and children's rights. Whether this has led to better policies, and whether these policies have in turn resulted in less childhood poverty and more human dignity, remains debatable. A better understanding of both child poverty and children's rights could help. This book introduces several approaches in the field of child poverty and children's rights studies, and identifies intersections between different theoretical approaches from both domains. This is a fruitful exercise for the academic disciplines involved, for policy-makers and for anyone taking an interest in these challenging subjects.[-]
